I had to let a patient die in front of my face, even though I could easily have saved her life.
It was all I could do to stop myself from “assaulting” her by treating her against her wishes. She was just deathly gray. She had almost no blood in her body. A transfusion was mandatory. But she refused. And died right there.
I doubt that “Jehovah” would send a follower to hell for getting a blood transfusion. Even if “blood” is forbidden, well, so are a lot of things. Unless you live a 100% perfect life, then why suddenly decide that the ONE AND ONLY THING that you will NEVER disobey is to abstain from blood? I mean, would that ruin a flawless life of complete perfection, or would it be simply another failing in a long journey of occasional sins?
If you are going to be a martyr for God, do it for a better reason. Just my 2 cents.
